50 Shades of Blue: Catherine Hill Bay

Australia Day was definitely spent well at Catherine Hill Bay beach. I think it’s only appropriate to spend Aussie Day either on a beach or grilling sausages in front of a ‘barbie’. I mean, what could be more Aussie than having salty hair, sandy feet, and blue sky? So, off to the beach we went!

Catherine Hill Bay beach is located about 2 hours drive, north-east, from Sydney, near Lake Macquarie. It has a massive pier like Long Jetty, but we can’t actually walk on the pier as they close the access. However, of course, there were some brave nuts who climbed the poles to jump from the pier. Anyways, this is a proper beach that has lifeguards, toilets, showers, etc. So, if you’re planning a full day trip on the beach for a swim or surf, there’s nothing to worry about.

Time to go back to reality… boo…

Easy to say that Catherine Hill Bay is a beauty! The beach was not too crowded and the weather was definitely on our side that day. Everything was simply perfect.
